Jack Becker has been playing around with boats for most of his life.

Raised on a lake in Northern Illinois, Mom said he spent more time on the water than on shore, and as an adult, he has made owning and caring for classic boats, a central part of his life.

As a professional artist, designer and most recently, writer / author, Jack sees his boat rescue work as another level of the creative spirit. A spirit that has taken him from coast to coast, working with public and private industry as well as state and city agencies, museums and arts education systems.

Jack was a member of the Governor of Washington State's design team to develope overview plans for the State Centennial celebration. He was site designer for the grand opening of a Mobil Oil Corporation development project called Reston Town center near Washington, D.C.

He co-designed jet roll-out celebrations for the Boeing Corporation, and he served as Program Director for a regional fine arts center near Minneapolis, Mn.

He is a painter and sculptor with works in private and public collections - and of course, he restores classic yachts.

Jack recently completed the rescue and restoration of a 42' English racer - cruiser designed by Norman Dallimore and built in 1937. He's had a book published that documents the project entitled "The Lilibet Logs".
